South Australia - November 2002

Select the date from the list shown below for this months tip

4th Nov I had a letter recently from a keen gardener with a stone fruit orchard near Willaston about a problem they have with spotted black stuff on the leaves of peaches, nectarines and plums after rain. Using Mancozeb they have gained control, but what was it?

11th Nov I watched the Unley City Council garden guys exhume a dead Ash tree from the Goodwood Community centre car park last week and the soil underneath was a swamp.

18th Nov I’m on the mat in Annie’s rose garden, because her roses have powdery mildew at present. Gee most roses in this area will have it after the weather we’ve had lately.

25th Nov We have feral orange spotted Tiger lilies and enormous white Christmas lilies in Annie’s cottage garden at present, but who’s complaining.
