Greenfingers here got taken to task for last week claiming that wife Annie,
roughly chopped surplus tomatoes mixed with spring onions and froze them.

The Lisbon is our best lemon by far for this area and fruits and flowers for
its second crop at the same time, which is no mean effort and our most popular orange in
this area is the Washington Navel. They both need a feed now to set a good
canopy of flower in a few months time for winter fruit set. Use a balanced
water-soluble citrus fertilizer.

2 crushed cloves of Riverland garlic
1 finely chopped serrano chillis (Scoville 6)
1 tsp homemade chilli oil
6 medium tomatoes roughly chopped (skinned if you prefer)

dont see regularly. They need controlling or they become established as regulars to
reinfest each summer.
