A very large tomato punnet grower told me recently that the 'Dynamite' tomato is Adelaide's best kept secret. It is selling very quickly to all those that have tried it. So if it's a stranger to you, definitely worth trying and remember who told you first!

Bedding begonias can go in now and the 'Gypsy Rose' is as good as they get for local conditions. If you want a luscious strawberry and ice-cream effect, the mixed strain has red, white and rose colours.

A caller to my radio show recently told me that she uses poly bubblewrap you get from the Post Office, to line terra cotta pots on the inside, then fills them with potting media and that creates a cool root run. Now there's been quite a debate on our house as to whether that would work, but I'm prepared to try it. My Radio talkback by the way is on ABC Radio 891 (and SA Regional stations plus 2NB Broken Hill) at 10-30am Sundays.
