Malcolm “greenfingers” Campbell BA, MAIH, IPPS, Ad.Cert.
Hort. is a professional horticulturist with over 30 years experience in
Adelaide, Nepal, Egypt, Kenya and Pakistan who for 16 years was the South
Australian presenter for the Gardening Australia television program on ABC TV
and for 14 years prior to that on local ABC TV in South Australia. The old
Gardening Australia reruns that he featured in are still on Fox cable on their
Lifestyle channel. For 15 years he wrote several articles each month for the
FPC/ABC “Gardening Australia” best selling national gardening magazine and has
written many one shots on topics such as tomatoes, citrus container grown plants
and bedding plants, most of which can be found on this site for your information
but without all the pics. For the past 32 years he has hosted a weekly radio
gardening talkback program on ABC Radio 891 in Adelaide on Sunday mornings from
10.30am to 11.30am. He works regularly for Kooyonga Golf Club a few days a week
maintaining the clubhouse gardens and is a consultant to Wormswork a company
that sell worm casting and worm wee nationally and
internationally.
Malcolm also writes for 10 of the 11 News Limited's
local Messenger Papers in the Adelaide
metropolitan
area.
Greenfingers has worked as a municipal landscape supervisor in
London and privately in Adelaide.
He has also worked
in Development Assistance for AUSAID & ANU (now DEFAT) for five years in
Nepal, India, Kenya, Pakistan and Egypt as a horticultural expert in relevant
technology and plant propagation in the third world.His private garden
consultations are very limited these days but catch up at Plants Plus Blackwood
on Fridays.
