Woollybear Caterpillar

"The Woollybear Caterpillar (Spilosoma glatignyi) is currently on the prowl and increasing in numbers steadily in a garden near you. I recorded an ABC television Gardening Australia segment on this creature this week, but could only tell you that to control them you can either collect them (I wasn't allowed to suggest squashing them) or spray them with the Baccillus thuringinesis [B.t.], which I also wasn't allowed to tell viewers is sold to gardeners as Dipel HG, that just stands for Dipel at home garden strength. The B.t. rots their guts out if you want the cause and effect.

That at least stops any higher food chain creature from suffering and it is pretty effective on most caterpillars not just Woollybears. The moth stage of Woollybear is a white tiger month variant up to 45mm wide in flight that is usually only seen at night, if you are vigilant.
So now you have the complete story!"
